The full course is live: welcome to the public beta

· 2 min read

Cyber Career Launchpad is open. All fourteen modules (from "is cyber even for me?" through to job applications and interview prep) are live, free, and ready to use at your own pace.

What's here today

  • The full career-changer track (M0-M13): computing and networking foundations, security fundamentals, the Australian frameworks employers expect (Essential Eight, the ISM, the Privacy Act), identity, threats, life in a SOC, web application security, GRC, cloud, a portfolio capstone, and a career-launch module, mapped throughout to CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701). Start with Module 0, or see the whole journey first.
  • Cyber Today briefings: the fast-moving stuff: AI on both sides of the fight, ransomware economics, supply-chain and identity attacks, plus how to stay current like an analyst.
  • Australian cyber news: headlines from Australian sources, refreshed daily.
  • Hands-on labs in your browser on free platforms (PortSwigger Web Security Academy, TryHackMe), nothing scary to install.

No account. No cost. No catch. The whole course is readable on any device, and it's been audited against WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility.

What "beta" means

The content is complete and fact-checked, but a course this size will still have rough edges: a link that dies, a fact that ages, an explanation that doesn't land. When you find one, tell us. Reports go straight to the maintainers, and you don't need an account. Every report genuinely shapes the course for the next person.

What's next

A community space for study partners and Q&A, more Cyber Today briefings (post-quantum cryptography, critical infrastructure and the SOCI Act, Australian privacy reform), and interactive quizzes are all on the roadmap. Announcements will land right here.

If you've been circling a move into cyber security: start with Module 0. It's designed to help you decide, with evidence, not hype.
